California Agriculture Division
Transportation of California agricultural products is an integral part of our operations and has provided the growth of Mike Lowrie Trucking from its inception in 1978. Recognized as one of California’s premier agricultural carriers, Mike Lowrie Trucking transports agricultural products to food processing plants from February to November of each year. Starting in the southern most part of California, near El Centro, we begin with bulk carrots, progressing north we begin hauling bulk onions, in early May, and then in July begin tomatoes, ending in the northern part of California near Tulelake in late October. This undertaking consists of 142 late model Peterbilt power units and over 800 sets of flat beds and 24/7 operational hours. Our customed designed equipment allows us to readily convert trailers to the unique processing product to which is in season.
